... and boy are my eyes tired! All I can say for now is that there is some pretty amazing Flash work being created and I am delighted to see people pushing the boundaries of what can be done with Flash.

I've also got three bits of advice to share with anyone who is going to submit an entry to a Flash contest:

1. Submit the correct URL. 404 errors look terribly unprofessional.
2. Make sure your Flash detection script works! Remember, people, it's >= minimumRequiredFlashVersion not ==. So as not to run into these problems, use SWFObject.
3. Add essential background information that is relevant to the category or categories you're submitting an entry for. Do not, however, write a 5000-word essay.

• Wow 162 flash site in a row ??? Any links that we could check ? Otherwise I'm totally agree for the swfObject. So easy to use and xhtml compliant as well (thx to alistapart: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/flashsatay/)... Anyway have a good sleep :)

• Well, I only looked at 135. And I didn't wait til the last minute! But yeah, your advice is spot on. A 404 page isn't going to win you anything. Nor is a site with links that don't work, a spinny thing that says "Loading 26kb" for 2 minutes, or redirecting users with the Flash 9 player to the Macromedia site to install the Flash 7 player. :)
