ARP joins OSFlash

ARP, the Open Source Pattern-Based RIA Framework for the Flash PlatformARP, the Open Source Pattern-Based RIA Framework for the Flash Platform is now part of the Open Source Flash (OSFlash) initiative.

The new web site is:

http://osflash.org/arp

(or, if you prefer DokuWiki URLs to rewritten ones, http://osflash.org/doku.php?id=arp)

The Subversion repository for the project is at:

http://svn.sourcesecure.co.uk/osflash/arp

And we have an Advisory committee branch at:

http://svn.sourcesecure.co.uk/osflash/arp/branches/advisory/

(Check it out, I think Peter Hall already committed some stuff in there!) :)

The ARP mailing list is also in the process of being migrated over to the OSFlash domain.

The trunk currently contains a slightly modified version (new package names, using the new org.osflash.arp namespace) of the current release version of ARP (version 2.02). I am working on providing a stable 2.03 release with the new package names sometime next week (most likely towards the end of it as I'll be teaching my Foundations of Object-Oriented ActionScript 2 and Best Practices Flash & Flex classes from Monday to Thursday.)

This is an exciting move for ARP in its journey from being a closed-source framework to an open-source framework that is part of a rapidly growing open source community project.
