Gotta love technology! Would you look at that lovely blue screen? The culprit? You can see it in my hands - the bane of my existence - my Vodafone 3g card.

I had heard that 3G was pretty expensive with Vodafone. Has T-Mobile started offering it?
BTW, FAT32 is faster than NTFS and is definitely my choice also on a laptop where I don't need any of the file security stuff.

Hey Burak -- yeah, it *is* :) I know Orange are offering a competing service but not sure about T-Mobile. Vodafone actually has really great coverage in the UK (and haven't had any roaming issues in Australia, Europe and Canada with my cell phone) but the datacard plain sucks. I think it's mostly software-related. Their software deserves to be a case-study in usability (as an example of what *not* to do.)
Btw, you have eagle eyes :) Yep FAT32 is faster but I can't take any credit for that choice. Never changed the default the notebook came with and actually wasn't even aware of what filesystem I was running until you pointed it out! *shame on me, I know* :P
