After a two month delay , I'm excited to announce that my first iPhone app, 'Avit , is now on sale on the App Store (iTunes link) for £2.99 (or 3.99 € in the EU, $4.99 in the US).
What it does
'Avit is an iPhone app for Safari Books Online subscribers that lets you scan the barcode from a book and start reading it on your iPhone .
You can see it in action in the video above, or on the 'Avit homepage .
You can also bookmark found books to read later on your mobile phone or desktop as well as find the lowest price for books, CDs, DVDs, and anothing-else-with-a-barcode.
Things to try
Find books you own that are on Safari Books Online so you can sell them and make some extra cash
Scan a book at a bookstore to see if it's on Safari Books Online or whether you should buy it
If a book is not on Safari Books Online, find the lowest price for it online
Also find the lowest price on CDs, DVDs, games, etc. (Anything with a barcode, really!)
