Hi Weyert, Tried that last night and couldn't get sqlite3 working with Django with the MacPorts version of Python 2.5. MacPorts does look good but is definitely Yet Another Step for a newbie who just wants to play with this stuff :)

Aha, well I just planning to use Ruby On Rails instead of Django in combination with a project a friend wrote mod_rails. www.modrails.com

Why don't you install MacPython via MacPorts? Easy to keep it up to date! Also adds the appropriate MacPython application in /Application. Check it out!
